Train crashed into Brahmaputra
Wednesday morning around six o'clock in the area of ??Jharkhand Sahebganj Karnpur station has met with an accident near the Brahmaputra Mail. It killed five people and wounding six. Nearly six hours because of dense fog Wednesday morning, coming to Delhi from Guwahati Brahmaputra Mail Karnpur station close to the area of ??Jharkhand Sahebganj already bumped into a parked train. In this incident, five people were killed while six others are injured. The injured were rushed to nearby hospital.
Malda DRM and other senior officials, including the railway reached the spot and has started relief work.
DRM said one bogie derailed in the accident which took the passengers were safe. DRM said that the incident will be investigated, but the first priority is to treat the injured and the revival of rail service is disrupted. The railway to the families of the deceased five - has announced Rs five lakh. Union Railway Minister has expressed regret over the incident.
